Create a beautiful leather collar and weave your cord or leather laces through it. This technique is called leather lacing.

Leather lacing moulds

First of all, you punch holes in the leather. You could measure where the holes need to be yourself, but you can also use the leather lacing templates for this.

Paracord 550 type III

You can use different materials for braiding or weaving. If you like to work with Paracord 550 Type III, it is useful to remove the core so that the weave remains flat.

You melt the paracord strands together at the beginning and the end at the back of the leather so that it stays in place.

Leather laces

With leather laces the ends are glued with leather glue instead of melted. These collars are usually lined with nappa leather, so the strap is smooth on the inside.
