Spun Cord
A polyester rope with a natural, cotton-like feel. Spun cord is double braided (braid on braid), giving it a soft handle, good grip and excellent UV resistance. Thanks to its grip, spun cord is a popular choice as marine rope and in horse and dog sport.
Strength and feel
Spun cord combines the durability of a synthetic rope with the look and feel of natural cotton. Our 12 mm spun cord, for example, has a tensile strength of 1600 kg at just 8 grams per metre, giving a genuinely strong rope without the extra weight or stiffness you'd get from a thicker natural fibre rope of comparable strength.
Sizes and construction
Available in braided diameters of 6, 8, 10 and 12 mm, plus a flat 6 mm coreless option. The braid-on-braid construction is what gives spun cord its soft hand-feel and grip, making it comfortable to hold even under load.
