What is the knot board made of?

The knot board is made of untreated beech wood. This type of wood is durable, easy to work with and stable. An advantage of beech wood is that dirt and grease have less grip on this wood type. Beech wood is a soft wood, so damage from falling or bumping is much less noticeable. It is possible to paint the knotting board with wood paint in your favourite colours.
