All you need for this simple, cheerful key chain made of rope is these materials:

• 2x 80 cm Paracord
• 1x key ring
• 1x flower bead

While making the key chain, use scissors to cut the paracord and a blowtorch to melt the cord.

In this tutorial we refer to the Berry Blast cord as colour 1 and to the Holy Guacamole cord as colour 2.

1. Thread the loop of colour 1 via the rear side through the ring.
2. Put the 2 strands through the loop of step 1 and tighten.

1. Pass the left-hand strand through the ring from the back and insert it into its own loop.
2. Pull tight.

1. Pull the right-hand strand through the ring from the back and insert it into its own loop.
2. Pull tight.

1. Make the loop between the two cow hitch knots bigger. You do this by loosening the knots, so that you can make the loop bigger bit by bit.
2. Put colour 2 through the knots of colour 1. Make sure the two strands of colour 2 are the same length on both sides.

1. Put the left strand of colour 1 over the vertical loop.
2. Now put the right strand over the left strand in the same way.

1. Bring the left-hand strand of colour 2 under the horizontal strands of colour 1 to the front. Let the strand go around the horizontal strands of colour 1 and then cross over itself to the left.
2. Repeat for the right strand.

1. Pull colours 1 and 2 tight at the same time.
2. Let the left-hand strand of colour 2 go around the left-hand strand of colour 1. Make sure you insert the strand upwards between colours 1 and 2.

1. Pull tight.
2. Now let the left-hand strand of colour 2 go around colour 1 from the rear. Insert it into its own loop.

1. Repeat steps 14-16, so that you have 2 knots on the left side.
2. Do the same for the right side, so that you have 2 knots on the right side as well.

1. Cross the strands of colour 1 again. 
2. Repeat steps 11-12.

1. Pull on all the strands at the same time. You have now knotted the entire flower (Aztec Sunbar).
2. Pull the strands of colour 2 from the back to the front. It is best to do this between the knots of the flower and the strands of colour 1, so that the strands remain at the side.

1. Thread the strands of colour 2 through the bead you wish to incorporate in the key chain. 
2. Because you put the strands through the bead from two different sides, the bead ends up nicely in the middle.

1. Put the strands of colour 2 back through the hole and only then pull the threads tight so that the bead is in place. 
2. Cut the strands short and use a blowtorch to melt them. Use for example a teaspoon to press the ends flat.

Make sure that the left-hand strand of colour 1 is behind the loop (see arrow).

1. Put the left strand over the loop of colour 1.
2. Put the right strand over the left strand and then bring this right strand behind the vertical loop of colour 1 to come back to the front through the loop on the left side.

The arrows at step 28 show where the strands are that you will loosen in steps 30 and 31 to form the leaves.

1. Pull the ropes tight. You have now tied a cobra knot.
2. Now look back at step 28 to see which rope you have to loosen to form the leaf on the left.

1. The leaf on the left-hand side is formed by loosening one of the strands at the front. The right-hand side is formed by loosening a strand at the back.
2. Put the vertical left strand over the right strand and bring it back to the left via the rear.

1. Let the right strand go to the left.
2. Now bring this strand via the front to the right again and insert it in the loop on the right-hand side.

1. Pull the ropes tight. You have now made a Snake Knot.
2. You can choose to repeat this knot. You can finish the ends in different ways. In the example, the strands were frayed to create fringes.
