Italian 'Toscana' Vegetable tanned saddle leather straps - Ca. 100 cm
Pull-up leather is a leather that is greased with oils or waxes with a lightening effect, to give it different tones and shades when it is pulled or bent. The straps are Ca. 1 meter long and can be used for various projects such as making your own dog collars, bags, and Belts. The straps are smooth and shiny making them very fashionable.
Vegetable tanning
Vegetable tanning does not use reagents and chemicals but relies on tannins extracted from different types of trees and plants. Precisely for this reason, this type of processing is able to make the leather unique and durable over time.
This treatment gives the leather greater softness, and better water resistance, and has the advantage of improving its appearance over time and with use. The greasing of the leather, therefore, amplifies the characteristics of vegetable tanning.
